22 units have now been sold – 12 have been installed, from Manchester to Harrogate to Norfolk across to South Wales all coming on board!

I am the Dispensary/Pharmacy manager for Mattishall Surgery & Pharmacy in Norfolk. We are a hybrid of a dispensary and Pharmacy.
In August 2022 I joined the practice and from the minute I started I could see that the pharmacy/dispensary was a very busy environment, under extreme pressure with a constant stream of patients and customers queued round the shop, out of the door and on many occasions down the side of the building. Sometimes queuing for over an hour in all weathers before they got to the front of the que. Which in turn led to the staff being subjected to rude, negative, and abusive comments.
We soon realised that the pressure on the pharmacy was not going to subside and that we needed to take action to make the process quicker and easier for staff and patients. So, in May 2023 we had a 24-hour Pharmabox installed.
The installation was well planned, straight forward and extremely well executed. Alastair was on site to help with the initial set up and training on the unit.
At first, we had a few teething problems, as with all new equipment, it takes a little while to learn how to use it. But now we would not be without it.
We currently have 780 patients signed up to have their repeat prescriptions loaded into the machine , this has made a massive difference to our patient serving time, reduced negative and rude comments made to the staff and we have also seen a small increase in prescription numbers as we had some patients who had their prescriptions sent to an outside pharmacy due not being able to collect during our opening times because of work, but now they can collect 24/7 they are happy for us to provide the service again. More patients are signing up daily.
